First Luau Party

I know a lot of people this year 2020 has never imagined celebrating their birthday on a time like this, where everyone needed to stay at home and do quarantine for almost three months. No gatherings, No parties, No picnics, No eating out, No playing at the parks and so on. But like me I don’t mind having a “Quarantine Birthday“, specially if the person celebrating is my little one. Hah! It’s actually more practical than having a big party for her because really—they won’t remember or enjoy it like when they are 5 years old and up. I think Reanne's 1st birthday is very memorable because we we're able to focus on her than having guest or visitors to take care of. But of course, friends and relatives are very important and fun to be with in milestones like this, it's just that big parties are very tiring to manage. I just made sure that my little one's day is special. I still decorated, cooked food and baked a cake for her. The preparation became easy thanks to a dollar store. During the month of May their products where all about summer, luau, picnic and more outdoor stuff which gave me an idea for Reanne's theme which is LUAU party. I am glad I was able to buy some stuff like plates, napkins , table cloth, decor, photo back drop and costume for her in a very cheap price. I also did some DIYs for decor and cake presentation. No need to spend big. Here are some photos of my little one's birthday party.

Backdrops, Balloons, Grass skirt, flower head piece are from a dollar store. Birthday sign and Reanne's top was a DIY made by me.

Almost everything used for decoration and presentation here is bought in a dollar store. Cake stand is a DIY made by me.

Again, here the cake stand and banner was a DIY made by me then the flower , balloon and flamingo and pineapple wall decor was bought in a dollar store.

HOW TO MAKE A DIY SIMPLE CAKE STAND:

So, really this was really easy to do and prepare. Luau party is good if you don't want to cook everything by yourself. Just prepare the meats, buns, condiments and fruits and cook it while chatting with your family and friends like a regular bbq day. They can even cook their own burger or bbq. EASY PEASY!.
